Corpus Christi

Felt v v v v blessed today..

Met Sis C for some catching up during lunch before I went csc for my QT + meeting up L.. supposedly for mass at nativity.. but both of us ended up attending benediction + mass at csc.

We attended mass which was celebrated by both His Grace, archbishop Nicholas Chia & Fr William Goh.. Thought today's homily really sum up the whole thing abt Corpus Christi:

(1) Its abt knowing tt bread & wine do not only equivalate to the body & blood of Christ.. but we ought to understand deeper in the reason behind it..

Bread is made up of grains.. milk.. manna.. etc.. Its the process.. & the "ingredients" that made up the bread..  in another word.. we are the ingredients.. that made up the body of Christ.. Its also abt the process of making the bread.. the journey we took to build & sustain the church..

Wine: made up of berries of grapes.. crushed and fermented to make wine.. similarly.. we are part of the process & we are the ingredents.. of making the wine..

(2) Its also abt recognising our own gifts.. allowing ourselves to break down & be shared among others.. Its not to keep our gifts among ourselves.. not manifesting them.. God gives us gifts individually so that we can manifest them & bring abt the goodness of His kingdom and make known His love to the ppl ard us..
Behind these 2 points, one thing that remains & hold true.. ie the importance of community.. w/o the community, there wont be growth.. there wont be growth within self and there wont be growth in the community..
